THE DETAILS

A little more about this tool

What it does

This tool extracts pages from a PDF into new documents. Two modes: page ranges (e.g. 1-3,5,8-10 creates three files, one for each range) or “every N pages” (a 21-page file split every 5 pages becomes 5 files).

Good to know

Output naming is automatic and readable: report_p1-p3.pdf, report_p4.pdf… For a single range you get one PDF; for multiple ranges you get one PDF per range plus a one-click ZIP of all.

Verify the no-upload promise

Open developer tools → Network, then process a file. First use may fetch a static processing module from this site. Inspect the request payloads: none contains your selected file. Processing and generated downloads happen on your device.

FAQ

Good questions, clear answers

What is the page range syntax?

Comma-separated numbers and ranges: “3” extracts page 3, “1-3,5,8-10” extracts pages 1,2,3,5,8,9,10. Order inside one output follows the document; each range becomes its own file.

How do I extract a single page?

Enter just that page number, e.g. “7”, and you get a one-page PDF.

Can I split a scanned 100 MB file?

Large files depend on available browser memory, so try a desktop device. Splitting copies pages without re-encoding their contents.

My PDF is password-protected — can I split it?

No. Remove the password in your PDF reader first; we cannot (and do not want to) handle protected files.

Do you keep a copy of my file?

No copy exists anywhere but your device. Closing the tab releases the in-memory work. Any copies you downloaded remain on your device; this site does not store a server copy.
