A little more about this tool
What it does
This tool renders Markdown (headings, lists, tables, code blocks, quotes, links, images) into a cleanly typeset document and opens your browser’s print dialog, where “Save as PDF” produces the file locally. Rendering uses your browser’s own text engine, so Chinese, Japanese and other scripts print with your system fonts and the text stays selectable in the PDF.
Good to know
The PDF is produced through the print dialog: pick “Save as PDF” as the destination, and enable background graphics if colors look missing. Images referenced by relative paths inside a dropped .md file cannot be resolved (the browser does not know the original folder); data URLs and http(s) image links do render — remote images are fetched by your browser at print time. Math notation and Mermaid diagrams render as plain text for now.
Verify the no-upload promise
Open developer tools → Network, then click the print button. Your Markdown text is rendered inside this page; no request contains your content. The PDF is generated by your browser’s print engine on your device.
Good questions, clear answers
Where does the PDF come from?
From your browser’s print engine. The button opens the print dialog with the rendered document; choose “Save as PDF” as the destination. Nothing is rendered on a server, which is also why the output text stays selectable.
How do I save a ChatGPT / Claude answer as PDF?
Copy the answer from the AI chat, paste it into this page, then press the print button and choose “Save as PDF”. Headings, lists, tables and code blocks from the answer keep their structure.
Will Chinese or emoji render correctly?
Yes. The document is typeset by your own browser with your system fonts, so CJK text, full-width punctuation and emoji print as they look on your device.
Why do local images in my .md file not appear?
A dropped file carries its text but not its folder, so relative image paths cannot be resolved. Screenshots pasted as data URLs and http(s) links do render.
Is my Markdown uploaded?
No. Rendering and PDF creation happen in your browser. Watch the Network tab: no request carries your text.
